Elevion Group has signed an agreement to fully acquire BTS Holdings Italy, along with a portfolio of nine biomethane plants in Northern Italy. This strategic acquisition integrates EPC and O&M expertise, advancing the company's goal of reaching an annual production capacity of 70 million standard cubic meters of renewable gas by 2030.
The scope of the transaction also includes a portfolio of nine biomethane plants in Northern Italy, three of which are already operational while the remaining six are currently undergoing conversion. Once fully commissioned, the portfolio is expected to reach a total capacity of approximately 30 million standard cubic meters of biomethane per year.
The acquisition significantly bolsters Elevion Group's position in the biomethane sector. It integrates BTS's established EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) expertise while expanding the Group's O&M capabilities through BTS's extensive experience in plant operation and maintenance, including facilities based on third-party technologies.
By combining the complementary strengths and competencies of both groups, the transaction unlocks substantial industrial and operational synergies. Consequently, Elevion Group is expanding its footprint across the entire biomethane value chain—from plant design and construction through to operation and maintenance.
Furthermore, the acquisition supports the Group’s strategic goal of achieving an annual production capacity of roughly 70 million standard cubic meters of renewable gas by 2030.
