By acquiring Techem Solutions GmbH, Elevion Group advances to the top tier of the German heating market. This strategic acquisition expands its portfolio with established contracting solutions and strengthens the single-source delivery of comprehensive, decentralised energy projects for real estate operators.

With the acquisition of Techem Solutions, Elevion ascends to the top tier of the German heating market.

Companies and real estate operators gain access to integrated solutions for heat supply, energy efficiency, and decarbonisation.

The transaction underscores Germany’s central role in the European heat transition.

Elevion Group B.V. is significantly expanding its decentralised heat supply operations in Germany. With the planned acquisition of Techem Solutions GmbH, the European energy service provider is reinforcing its position in a market that is critical to the heat transition within the building sector.

Elevion and Techem Energy Services GmbH have signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Techem Solutions GmbH. Techem Solutions is the second-largest provider of heat supply and energy services in Germany, operating 2,278 energy plants with a total installed thermal capacity of approximately 539 MWt. The company serves around 2,600 private households and 150 commercial clients, and has been part of Techem Energy Services, a leading energy service provider for the real estate sector with over 70 years of experience.

Elevion Group is a European provider of end-to-end solutions for decarbonisation and energy efficiency, generating annual revenues of €1.3 billion. The transaction comes at a time when rising energy costs, CO₂ pricing, and ESG requirements are massively increasing the pressure on businesses and real estate operators. Through Techem Solutions, Elevion gains an established contracting business as well as additional expertise in the planning, financing, implementation, and operation of decentralised energy systems. This enables the group to increasingly deliver complex energy projects from a single source—ensuring they are economically viable, scalable, and operable over the long term.

"The heat transition in Germany demands practical, scalable, and economically viable solutions for building owners, real estate companies, and tenants. With Techem Solutions, Elevion Group is strengthening its German platform with proven contracting expertise, long-term operational experience, and in-depth knowledge of real estate energy supply systems," said Jaroslav Macek, CEO of Elevion Group.

"This transaction represents a clear strategic step forward for Techem. By bringing together Techem Solutions and Elevion, we are creating a platform with the scale, capabilities, and investment profile required to drive the energy transition across Europe. At the same time, this move allows Techem to focus its strategic efforts even more sharply on its core business of smart energy data management for buildings. This will enable us to deploy capital and resources more strictly, accelerating our long-term growth trajectory," commented Matthias Hartmann, CEO of Techem Group.

"Elevion provides us with access to new international markets, additional capital to foster organic growth in Germany, and innovative technological solutions in the areas of digitalisation and decarbonisation. We view this combination as a significant opportunity for our employees, partners, and customers," added Holger Suschowk, CEO of Techem Solutions.

Beyond the transaction, Elevion Group and Techem Energy Services intend to explore further opportunities for cooperation.

The closing of the transaction is expected in the second half of 2026, subject to approval by the relevant German regulatory authorities.
